Lidia Riveros

Curator of Mexican Art & Culture

Mexican by birth, I am a traveler with a passion for understanding people and cultures through positive engagement, storytelling & targeted cultural activities, focusing on what unites us and makes it who we are.

Having lived in the UK for 12 years and in Singapore for 17 years, I have had the opportunity to know different cultures and recognize that, even though we may look different, there are so many similarities between our cultures. In other words, we are not so different after all!

I am a Singapore PR and my recent cultural projects have provided me with wonderful experiences in working with outstanding institutions such as NUS, National Museum of Singapore and Gardens by the Bay, among others.

THE EXPERTISE

Bringing the Latin and Asian cultures together

All great works of art start with a blank page! We create new proposals, design the end-to-end concepts and curate contents for a unique cultural experience.

Our productions are not one-off affairs but journeys of discovery through powerful narratives and storytelling.

Our main focus is to bring the Latin and the Asian cultures together. And we believe that, despite our difference which make each of us unique, we have more in common that we care to admit.

Art & Cultural Installations

Conceptualization, creating the narrative and building the vision for unique art installations taking the centre stage for cultural events and programs.

Art & Culture Programs

Defining scope, selecting or creating specific cultural components and producing a cohesive program of activities.

Community Engagement

Production, creation and execution of cultural programs, festivals, talks and panels with the aim of engaging the communities and strengthening our common cultural bonds.

Cultural Diplomacy

Creating bridges between communities and countries through art and culture, and strategizing your cultural goals through cohesive and effective storytelling and engagement.

Building bridges between countries and communities through art and traditions improves our relations and understanding of each other, leading to creation of a more harmonious society.

LAST PROJECT

Día de Muertos “Magic Migrations”

National Museum of Singapore - November, 2022

This year’s altar was dedicated to the migrants, with the “Monarch Butterfly” symbolizing the magic of migration.

Each year, millions of monarch butterflies leave their northern ranges and fly south to the oyamel fir forests near the Sierra Madre mountains, where they gather in huge roosts to survive the winter. When spring arrives, the monarchs start their return journey north, with the population cycling through three to five generations to reach their destination.

Among the forest communities of central Mexico, monarchs are believed to be the souls of their ancestors. Monarchs carry the soul of a relative or friend who, for one night, returns to the world of the living. The “visit” is to celebrate Day of the Dead in the first days of November.
